Instructor, Sue Eastman:
Since her start in dog agility in 2001, Sue Eastman has began a successful agility career with her All-Americans, Angel and Honey, and her young Border Collie, Jack. Sue is a welcomed addition to the DrivenDog's teaching staff.
Sue Eastman was first introduced to agility in 2001 with her two All-Americans, Angel and Honey. When Sue first started agility she was simply looking for a fun outlet for Angel and Honey's extra energy; however since then Sue has grown to be a strong competitor with the USDAA venue and is beginning to expand to AKC and CPE. Sue began teaching dog agility in 2003 and has found that it is one of her true passions.
Sue's main competition dog, Angel, is an Australian Cattle Dog mix, aka All-American, which Sue adopted from the Camarillo, CA Animal Shelter. Since Angel's start in competition, she has quickly risen to the highest levels of local competition and has nearly finished her Agility Dog Championship title with the USDAA. Angel and Sue have also qualified and/or competed at the 2003/04/05/06 USDAA World Championship Games, where Angel made the Grand Prix Semi-Finals in 2004/05/06.
Sue's second dog is Honey, Pit Bull mix, aka All American. Honey was also adopted, but from the Agoura, CA Aminal Shelter. Honey has only competed a limited amount, but in that time has taught Sue about the importance of building foundation and focus, and to have patience as a trainer.
In 2003, Sue added Border Collie, Jack, to her crew. Jack has tons of drive and speed, and has really helped Sue to improve her timing and handling. Jack and Sue attended the 2007 USDAA Cynosport Games (USDAA Nationals) in Scottsdale, AZ and had a great time!
Most recently (November 2007), Sue added baby Jill to her crew. Jill is a half sister to Jack and already proving to be a handful. Lots to come in the future from little Jill! |
